Our Mission

Agathiyar Varmakalai Research and Development Trust was created with following mission:

• To research on the art of Varmakalai and develop it to enrich the alternative medicine.

• To record the practices of varmakalai Aasans.

• To expose the Varmakalai texts that will be very useful for students of Siddha, Physiotherapy and Ayurvedic medicine.

• To promote the indigenous Indian art over the foreign techniques like acupuncture and acupressure.

• To frame separate rules for defense Varmakalai and medical varmalogy. • To highlight the ancient Dravidian Tamil culture and Tamil language.

• To expose Tamil not only as a (communication) language but also a medical language.

• Teach Varmakalai for the interested students
